Privacy Policy

This site is run by Jocelyn Wood under the name Systems with Jwo ("I", "me"). This page explains what information I collect when you visit jocelynmwood.com, what I do with it, and the choices you have.
Please don't send health information. Don't include information about a client, patient or child in a booking, in an email to me, or in any sign-up form. This site is for learning about AI and systems for clinicians, not for clinical care.
Information I collect
- Information you give me. If you email me, I receive your email address and whatever you write. If you book a call through my Google Calendar scheduling page, Google collects the details you enter there, such as your name and email, and I receive them.
- Email sign-ups. When you join my list or get a free resource through a form hosted by Flodesk, Flodesk collects the details you enter, usually your name and email address.
- Basic visit information. Like most websites, the site and its hosting provider can see technical details such as your IP address, browser type, device, and the pages you visit.
How I use it
- To reply to your messages and questions.
- To send you the free resources and emails you signed up for, such as news about AI Happy Hour and the Monthly AI Meeting.
- To understand which pages are useful and to improve the site.
- To keep the site secure and working.
I don't sell your personal information.
Email and Flodesk
Sign-up forms are hosted by Flodesk, which stores your details and sends my emails. Flodesk handles that information under its own privacy policy: flodesk.com/privacy. Every email I send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can use it at any time.
Booking and email
The Book a Time button opens a Google Calendar scheduling page, which is run by Google under its own privacy policy. I use what you submit only to meet with you and respond to you. You can also email me directly at jocelyn@everydaylanguageco.com.
Website analytics
I use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to see in aggregate how many people visit and which pages they read. Google may set cookies and collect your IP address, device and browser details, and the pages you view. I use this to improve the site, not to identify you personally. Google handles that data under its privacy policy, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Fonts and other services
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts and Fontshare, and it is hosted on Vercel. When your browser loads these, those companies can receive your IP address and basic browser information. Their handling of that information is covered by their own policies, for example Google and Vercel.
Links to other sites
The site links to other websites and services, such as my membership site and Flodesk pages. I'm not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies.
How long I keep information
I keep messages and email-list details for as long as they're useful for the purpose you gave them, or until you ask me to delete them or unsubscribe.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any email.
- Ask me what information I have about you, or ask me to correct or delete it, by emailing me.
- Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies.
Children
This site is for professionals and adults. It isn't directed to children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has given me information, email me and I'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
I may update this page from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
